LEE, Mass. — Jenna Benzinger scored 31 points Monday to lead the Mount Greylock girls basketball team to a 56-43 win over Lee.
Benzinger scored 12 of the Mounties’ 16 points in the first quarter and added a pair of field goals in the second quarter to send Mount Greylock to the locker room with a 29-24 lead.
The Mounties opened things up in the third quarter behind seven more points from the junior center to make it a 13-point margin going to the fourth.
Elena Cerveira scored 10 points, and Lauren Howard, Ari Walden and Sarah Stripp added five apiece for Mount Greylock.
Lee was led by Karli Retzel with eight.
The Wildcats (8-8) travel to Quaboag on Monday for a tournament.
Mount Greylock (11-7) hosts Bennington, Vt.’s, Mount Anthony on Saturday.
