GREENFIELD, Mass. – Tayler Bergeron scored 20 points, and the Greenfield girls basketball team Friday outscored McCann Tech, 34-13 in the second half to earn a 54-31 win.
Faith Brazeau scored a team-high 16, and Brooke Reynolds added eight for the Hornets.
McCann Tech coach Justin Kratz said his squad lost its composure late.
“We need to be more disciplined offensively and defensively,” Kratz said. “Too much jumping for rebounds and not enough boxing out. Turned the ball over way too much.
“It’s a young team. We’re back to work at practice on Monday. There were a few stretches where we showed some real improvement that we need to build off of and sustain for longer.”
McCann Tech (0-3) goes to Ludlow next Friday.
