Pittsfield Girls Qualify for Western Mass Tournament

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Lexi Garvey scored 26 points and grabbed 21 rebounds Sunday to lead the Pittsfield girls basketball team to a 59-50 win over Monument Mountain.

 

With the win, the Generals qualified for the Western Massachusetts Division 2 tournament.

 

Emery Sime scored 15 and collected seven boards, and Natasha Shade passed out four assists.

 

Meri Powell scored a game-high 27 for Monument Mountain, which got 12 pointsfrom Destiny Brown.

 

The Spartans (5-12) go to Hoosac Valley on Monday.

 

Pittsfield (10-7) host Hoosac Valley on Wednesday.
