Pittsfield Girls Miss in Comeback Bid at Northampton

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. -- The Northampton girls basketball team took six-point lead into half-time and held off Pittsfield for a 54-51 win on Wednesday night.

 

Peyton Steinman scored 28 points and grabbed eight rebounds for the Generals (1-1), who outscored the Blue Devils in a wild 24-23 fourth quarter but came up just short.

 

Bella Aitken scored eight, and Toni Satrape scored six with six boards.

 

Pittsfield is home on Friday night against Longmeadow.
