Castillo Leads Pittsfield Past Holyoke

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Harolyn Castillo scored 18 points Friday to lead the Pittsfield girls basketball team to a 56-26 win over Holyoke.
 
Asia Smith-Moody scored 11 points, and Caprese Conyers added nine as Pittsfield stayed unbeaten this winter.
 
“Overall, it wasn’t one of our better games offensively,” PHS coach Kristy Conyers said. “We’ve got to do better with our turnovers. It was a team effort all around.”
 
Bre’Jai Ellerbee hit a pair of 3-pointers in a 22-6 second quarter for the Generals that sent them into the locker room with a 33-8 lead.
 
Grace Stetz pulled down nine rebounds, and Kyanna Summers had six steals.
 
Aliana Aimodovar scored 14 points to lead Holyoke.
 
Pittsfield (3-0) goes to Chicopee on Dec. 30.
