Summers Leads Pittsfield to Western Mass Title Game

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Kyana Summers had a double-double Wednesday to lead the Pittsfield girls basketball team to a 73-52 win over Pope Francis in the Western Massachusetts Class B semi-finals.

 

Summers scored 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. She also passed out four assists for the top-seeded Generals (15-5), who earned a spot in Saturday’s regional final at Holyoke Community College against South Hadley.

 

Charlotte Goodnow scored 14 points, pulled down nine rebounds and assisted on four baskets in Wednesday’s win.

 

Madison Stetz finished with 13 points and eight rebounds, and Harolyn Castillo grabbed 15 caroms. Dezerea Powell scored 11 points.
