Norwell Girls Stop Pittsfield

NORWELL, Mass. -- The Norwell girls basketball team Tuesday jumped out to a 17-point half-time lead and went on to a 79-57 win over Pittsfield in the Division 3 State Tournament.

 

Charlotte Goodnow led the Generals with 17 points.

 

Jamie Duquette had 14 points and a team-high eight rebounds, and Harolyn Castillo added 12 points.

 

Kyana Summers distributed four assists for the Generals, who finish the year with a record of 18-5.

 

Second-seeded Norwell (20-2) moves on to the state quarter-finals against Hudson.
