Pittsfield Girls Blow Out Belchertown in Tourney Opener

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Jamie Duquette scored 29 points Monday to lead the Pittsfield girls basketball team to a 75-30 win over Belchertown in the Western Massachusetts Class B tournament quarter-finals.

 

The top-seeded Generals (16-3) took a 42-15 lead into half-time in advancing to semi-finals against No. 4 Pope Francis, a 58-53 winner over South Hadley on Monday night.

 

Harolyn Castillo scored 11 points, and Dezerea Powell and Charlotte Goodnow added nine points apiece for Pittsfield.
