Powell Leads Spartans to Win at Lee

LEE, Mass. -- Meredith Powell scored 15 points Thursday to lead the Monument Mountain girls basketball team to a 50-47 win over Lee.

 

Fiona Horan scored 12, and Destiny Brown added nine for the Spartans, who snapped a two-game skid.

 

Brown went 3-for-4 at the foul line in the fourth quarter, when the Spartans held off Lee’s comeback bid.

 

Brianna Hawley scored 19 points, and Shannon Finnegan added 16 for the Wildcats (3-13), who go to Drury on Monday.

 

Monument Mountain (9-7) hosts Hoosac Valley on Monday.
