Shea Leads Hurricanes Past Monument Mountain

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. – Reagan Shea scored 16 points Monday to lead the Hoosac Valley girls basketball team to a 52-31 win over Monument Mountain.
 
Shea hit two of her four 3-pointers and scored 10 points in the first half to help the Hurricanes take a 25-16 lead into the locker room.
 
It was still a 12-point game going to the fourth, but Gianna Witek, (nine points) and Ashlyn Lesure (eight points) each scored five in the final eight minutes to help Hoosac Valley pull away.
 
The Spartans got seven points apiece from Mallory Lucey and Ynes Bourdon.
 
Monument Mountain (0-13) hosts Mount Greylock on Tuesday.
 
Hoosac Valley (12-3) goes to Monson on Thursday.
