Helmke Leads Monument Mountain Girls Past Mount Everett

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Lenah Helmke scored 27 points Tuesday to lead the Monument Mountain girls basketball team to a 60-28 win over Mount Everett.

 

The Spartans held the Eagles to just two points in the second half after leading by six at half-time.

 

Maya Cooney and Abby Dohoney each scored nine points in the win.

 

Emma Goewey led Mount Everett with 12 points.

 

The Eagles (1-5) host Wahconah on Friday.

 

Monument Mountain (2-3) hosts Burr & Burton of Manchester, Vt., next Tuesday.
