Agawam Girls Come Back to Beat Mount Greylock
AGAWAM, Mass. – Mia Canavan Monday scored 20 points to lead the Agawam girls basketball team to a 57-44 win over Mount Greylock.
Canavan and Isabella Laprise each scored 10 points in the third quarter, when Agawam erased a 30-23 Mount Greylock lead.
Maddie Powell scored a career-high 18 points to lead Mount Greylock, which got nine points from Tanley Drake.
“The girls fought hard to get a lead at halftime, but Agawam had too many answers in the second half,” Mount Greylock coach John Jacobbe said. “Proud of the girls’ effort, and we will keep doing our best to finish the season on a strong note.”
Mount Greylock plays its regular season finale at home on Wednesday against Lee.
