Wahconah Girls Top Mount Greylock

DALTON, Mass. – Madison McCarthy scored 20 points Wednesday to lead the Wahconah girls basketball team to a 62-36 win over Mount Greylock in its home opener.

 

Dani Barry scored 14 points, and Anna Doyle added 13 for Wahconah, which played its first four games on the road.

 

Mount Greylock’s Mia Filiault made four 3-pointers on the way to a team-high 14 points. Madi Powell and Tanley Drake each scored nine in the loss.

 

Mount Greylock (2-7) hosts Agawam on Friday.

 

Wahconah (4-1) hosts South Hadley on Friday.
