Wahconah Girls Down Pittsfield on Road

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Maria Gamberoni led three players in double figures Monday as the Wahconah girls basketball team rode a big third quarter to a 51-39 win over Pittsfield.

 

Wahconah was down, 21-18, at half-time but outscored its hosts, 18-8, in the third to earn the win.

 

Morgan Marauszwski scored 13, and Noelle Furlong added 11 in the victory.

 

Lexi Garvey led Pittsfield with 16 points and 17 rebounds. Natasha Shade scored nine, and Alexi Sondrini passed out five assists.

 

The Generals (8-6) host Monument Mountain on Thursday.

 

Wahconah (12-2) takes a three-game winning streak into Thursday’s home game against Hoosac Valley.
