Wahconah Girls Finish Strong, Win Seventh Straight

DALTON, Mass. -- Maria Gamberoni scored 23 points, and the Wahconah girls basketball team held Monument Mountain to just three fourth-quarter points in a 54-40 win on Monday night.

 

Cassie Tobler scored eight, and Noelle Furlong and Kelly McMahon each added seven as Wahconah (13-2) won its seventh straight.

 

Destiny Brown led Monument Mountain with 16, and Meredith Powell added 11.

 

The Spartans (8-7) go to Lee on Thursday.

 

Wahconah goes to Taconic on Wednesday.
