Wahconah Girls Give Coach Milestone Win

DALTON, Mass. -- Maria Gamberoni tied for game-high honors with 13 points, and the Wahconah girls basketball team Tuesday gave coach Liz Kay her 150th career coaching win.

 

Cassie Tobler and Noelle Furlong each scored 10 points, and Kelly McMahon added seven for Wahconah (5-1), which won its fifth straight.

 

Alice Najimy scored 13 to lead Lenox (3-5), which goes to Taconic on Thursday.

 

Kay, who is in her third season at Wahconah, has coached at Stonleigh Burnham, Coventry, Conn., and Amherst-Pelham.
