Wahconah Girls Down Taconic, Qualify for Western Mass

DALTON, Mass. -- Ashley Zink scored 17 points to lead the Wahconah girls basketball team to a 48-34 win over Taconic on Thursday that punched Wahconah's ticket for the Western Mass tournament.

 

Kelly McMahon added nine for Wahconah (10-5), which won its second in a row.

 

Taconic (3-11) was led by Riana Gittens and Maddy Quinto with eight points apiece.

 

Wahconah hosts Hoosac Valley on Monday, when Taconic travels to Drury.
