Zink Scores 16 to Sink Taconic

DALTON, Mass. -- Ashley Zink scored eight of her game-high 16 points in the first quarter to lead Wahconah to a 50-38 win over Taconic on Tuesday night.

 

Wahconah (5-3) led 35-18 at half-time after Emmy Cote sank a pair of second-quarter 3-pointers.

 

Maddie Sprague finished in double figures with 10 points in the win.

 

Maddy Quinto led a balanced Taconic attack with nine. Jasmine Rodriguez and Ashley Rufo each scored eight, and Brianna Rogers chipped in with seven.

 

Taconic (2-5) hosts Lee on Thursday.

 

Wahconah takes a three-game winning streak into Friday night's home game against Pittsfield.
