Young Wahconah Girls Team Falls on Road

MILLIS, Mass. – Lucy Miller scored 12 points, and the Millis girls basketball team pulled away in the fourth quarter to earn a 53-39 win over Wahconah in the Division 4 State Tournament Round of 16.

 

Ella Maher scored nine of her 11 points in the fourth quarter, when Millis used a 14-0 run to open up what was a tie game with four minutes left to play.

 

Danielle Hagmaier scored 13 points to lead Wahconah, which got nine from Madison McCarthy.

 

Wahconah, which graduates no seniors, finishes the season with a record of 15-8.
