South Hadley Girls Down Wahconah

DALTON, Mass. – Kate Phillips Monday scored 13 points to lead the South Hadley girls basketball team to a 50-37 win over Wahconah.

After falling behind early,the Tiger outscored Wahconah, 14-5, in the second quarter to take a 29-23 lead. Phillips scored six points in that quarter.

Madison McCarthy scored a game-high 17 to lead Wahconah, which got eight points from Danielle Hagmaier.

Wahconah (5-6) hosts Mount Greylock on Thursday.
