Wahconah Handles Amherst on Road

AMHERST, Mass. – Madison McCarthy scored 17 points Friday to lead the Wahconah girls basketball team to a 48-13 win over Amherst-Pelham.

 

Wahconah held the Hurricanes to just one point in the second quarter to take a 23-5 lead into the locker room.

 

Gianna Heilbroun scored eight points, and Sammie Kaley and Danielle Hagmaier each added seven.

 

Wahconah (2-1) goes to Pope Francis on Monday.
