Wahconah Girls Upended in Sweet 16

DALTON, Mass. – Hialeah Turner-Foster scored 20 points on Monday night to lead No. 15 seed Mashpee to a 47-45 win over second-seeded Wahconah in the Sweet 16 of the Division 4 State Tournament on Monday night.

 

Turner-Foster hit four 3-pointers, and Amiyah Peters scored 14 points for the Falcons.

 

Olivia Mason scored 12 points, and Olivia Gamberoni added 10 for Wahconah, which trailed, 17-6, after the first quarter.

 

Emma Belcher scored eight, and Eva Eberwein had six points for Wahconah, which finishes the season with a record of 18-5.
