Wahconah Girls Roll into Round of 16
DALTON, Mass. – Eva Eberwein scored 16 points to lead three Wahconah players in double figures as they started their Division 4 State Tournament run with a 61-37 win over Burncoat on Thursday night.
Olivia Gamberoni scored 14, and Emma Belcher added 13 in the win.
Wahconah led 41-11, at half-time and stretched that lead to 55-18 before coach Liz Kay turned the game over to her reserves in the fourth quarter.
Anitsey Robles scored 15 to lead Burncoat.
Second-seeded Wahconah (18-4) moves on to next week’s Sweet 16, where it will face the winner of Friday’s game between Mashpee and Leicester.
