Belcher, Wigington Lead Wahconah in Road Win

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – Grace Wigington and Emma Belcher each scored 15 points Tuesday to lead the Wahconah girls basketball team to a 54-52 win over South Hadley.

 

Wahconah built a 29-18 lead at half-time and held off a South Hadley comeback bid in the second half to improve to 13-3 this winter.

 

Ella Quinto scored eight, and Eva Eberwein and Olivia Gamberoni each scored five in the win.

 

Olivia Marion scored 14 to lead the Tigers.

 

Wahconah goes to Monson on Thursday.
