Mendel Leads 'Canes Over Minnechaug

WILBRAHAM, Mass. -- Alie Mendel scored 25 points Friday to lead the Hoosac Valley girls basketball team to a 69-58 win over Minnechaug.

 

Lexi Mercier hit four 3-pointers on the way to a 16-point night, and Riley Robinson scored 14 for the Hurricanes.

 

Hoosac Valley took control of the game early with a 22-15 first quarter.

 

The Hurricanes (2-0) go to Mount Everett on Tuesday.
