Mercier Scores 26 as Hoosac Valley Girls Top Taconic

CHESHIRE, Mass. -- Lexi Mercier knocked down seven 3-pointers on the way to a 26-point night to lead the Hoosac Valley girls basketball team to a 72-38 win over Taconic on Monday night.

 

Riley Robinson and Alie Mendel each finished in double figures with 16 and 14 points, respectively, as the Hurricanes (15-1) won their second straight.

 

Aubrey Lazits scored eight, and Rianna Gittens and Ayannah Moody each had six for Taconic (4-10), which hosts Wahconah on Wednesday.

 

Hoosac Valley hosts Pittsfield on Thursday.
