Hoosac Valley Girls Advance to Their Tournament Final
CHESHIRE, Mass. -- Alie Mendel scored 21 points, and Lexi Mercier added 17 as the Hoosac Valley girls basketball team opened the season with a 65-33 win over Auburn in the opening round of the Hoosac Valley Holiday Tournament.
Annabelle Canales scored eight points for the Hurricanes, who opened the game with a 30-2 first quarter.
Hoosac Valley (1-0) Saturday night will face Greenfield in the tournament finale.
