Case, Hoosac Girls Shoot Past Taconic

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Skylar Case hit three first-quarter 3-pointers to set the tone as the Hoosac Valley girls basketball team sank 14 triples in an 82-44 win over Taconic on Wednesday night.

 

Seven different Hurricanes connected from outside the 3-point arc, including case, who scored all 12 of her points from long range.

 

Allie Mendel hit just two 3s but led Hoosac with 18 points. Lexi Mercier scored 15, and Fallon Field and Sarah Field each scored eight.

 

Shalee Conyers scored 12 points, and Brit Henault added nine -- all on 3s -- for Taconic.

 

Hoosac Valley (10-1) goes to Drury on Friday.

 

Taconic (5-6) goes to Pittsfield on Thursday.
