Hoosac Valley Girls to Host Coaches Vs. Cancer Event Saturday

CHESHIRE,  Mass. -- Hoosac Valley High School will host its fourth annual Coaches Vs. Cancer girls basketball event on Saturday, Jan. 21.

 

In the last three years, this day has raised more than $10,000 to benefit the American Cancer Society.

 

Doors open at 11 a.m. for five games featuring Berkshire County teams against Pioneer Valley foes.

 

Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for students, and the booster club will have ample food, beverages and baked goods available for sale all day.

 

The schedule includes: noon, Mount Everett vs. Mahar; 1:30 p.m., Taconic vs. Athol; 3, Mount Greylock vs. Hampshire; 4:30, Wahconah vs. Granby; 6, Hoosac Valley vs. Longmeadow.

 

The snow date for the event is Sunday, Jan. 22.
