Garabedian Leads Hoosac Valley Past Mounties

CHESHIRE, Mass. – Taylor Garabedian led three Hoosac Valley girls in double figures on Wednesday as the Hurricanes beat Mount Greylock, 78-22.

 

Garabedian scored 12 points. Hanna Shea and Ashlyn Lesure added 11 points apiece, and 13 different Hurricanes made a mark in the scorebook.

 

Garabedian scored eight in the second quarter, when Hoosac Valley took control of the game, outscoring the Mounties, 28-3, to take a 47-13 lead into the locker room.

 

Phoebe Barnes scored 12 to lead the Mounties, who got six points from Madison Drake.

 

Mount Greylock (3-15) awaits its next opponent, to be determined after the Western Massachusetts tournament brackets are released next week.

 

Hoosac Valley (12-3) hosts Amherst-Pelham on Thursday.
