Late Foul Shooting Keys Hoosac Valley Girls' Win

CHESHIRE, Mass. – The Hoosac Valley girls basketball team Thursday went 15-for-21 at the free throw line in the fourth quarter to earn a 47-36 win over South Hadley.

 

Ashlyn Lesure and Taylor Garabedian combined to make 12 free throws in the period and help the Hurricanes outscore the Tigers, 17-4, in the last eight minutes.

 

Garabedian finished with 12 points, and Gabby Billetz scored 10 to lead Hoosac Valley’s offense.

 

Emma Meczywor scored nine.

 

Hoosac Valley (2-3) hosts Drury on Friday.
