Hoosac Valley Girls Roll Past Hampshire

CHESHIRE, Mass. – Averie McGrath scored 26 points Tuesday to lead the Hoosac Valley girls basketball team to a 66-36 win over Frontier.

 

The Hurricanes took control of the game with an 18-5 second quarter to take a 29-12 lead into the locker room.

 

Ashlyn Lesure scored six of her eight points in that second quarter.

 

McGrath scored eight points, including two of her four 3-pointers, in a 20-point third quarter that allowed the Hurricanes to put the game away

 

Hannah Shea scored 10 points, and Alyssa Garabedian and Taylor Garabedian each had seven in the win.

 

Emma Czarniecki scored 11 for Frontier.

 

Hoosac Valley (7-1) goes to Wahconah on Thursday.
