McGrath Leads Hoosac Valley Girls Past Monument Mountain

CHESHIRE, Mass. -- Averie McGrath scored 14 points Monday to lead the Hoosac Valley girls basketball team to a 63-33 win over Monument Mountain.

 

Shaleigh Levesque scored 11, and Annie Canales added nine on three 3-pointers for the Hurricanes, who led 38-8 at half-time.

 

Destiny Brown and Helen Pajeski scored 10 and eight, respectively, for Monument Mountain.

 

The Spartans (1-2) host Lenox on Jan. 2.

 

Hoosac Valley (3-2) is off until Jan. 3, when it goes to Mount Greylock.
