Hoosac Valley Girls Open with Convincing Win over Lee

LEE, Mass. -- Averie McGrath scored 16 points Thursday to lead the defending state champion Hoosac Valley girls basketball team to a 71-36 win over Lee.

 

Riley Robinson added 11 points, and Kayley Winn had 10. Eleven different players scored for Hoosac Valley (1-0).

 

Lee (0-1) got 10 points apiece from Lydia Simone and Caroline Maloney.

 

The Wildcats goes to Turners Falls on Tuesday.

 

Hoosac Valley hosts Taconic on Monday.
