Mercier's Eight 3s Lift Hoosac Valley Past Scituate

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Lexi Mercier hit eight 3-pointers Monday to lead the Hoosac Valley girls basketball team to a 55-46 win over Scituate in the first round of the Foxborough Tournament.

 

Mercier finished with a game-high 24 points, and Allie Mendel scored 17 for the Hurricanes.

 

Hoosac Valley (16-3) plays host and Division 2 power Foxborough on Tuesday evening in the tournament title game.
