Northampton Girls Stop Taconic in Season Finale

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. -- Emma Tanner scored 20 points Wednesday to lead the Northampton girls basketball team to a 50-36 win over Taconic.

 

Ashley Rufo scored 23, and Tamia Patrick pulled down nine rebounds to lead Taconic, which finished its season with an 8-12 record.

 

Ayannah Moody, Aubrey Lazits and Riana Gittens each grabbed nine rebounds for Taconic, which could not overcome a slow start that saw Northampton grab a 15-3 lead after one quarter.
