Rufo, Patrick Lead Taconic Girls Past Lee

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Ashley Rufo and Tamia Patrick each had a double-double Tuesday to lead the Taconic girls basketball team to a 51-47 win over Lee.

 

Rufo and Patrick each scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Rufo also passed out a team-high four assists as Taconic (2-4) won its second straight.

 

Riana Gittens scored a team-high 12 points, and Aubrey Lazits and Ellie Christopher helped round out a balanced Taconic scoring attack with five apiece.

 

Rufo scored five points and went 3-for-5 at the foul line in a decisive fourth quarter, when Taconic outscored Lee, 14-12.

 

Lee’s Shannon Finnegan scored a game-high 15 points, and Brianna Hawley added 14. Lydia Simone was the third Wildcat in double figures with 11.

 

Lee (1-6) hosts Pittsfield on Friday.

 

Taconic (2-4) hosts Lenox on Thursday.
