Ashlyn Haden scored 11, and Jacinta Felix scored 10 for the Blue Devils, who regrouped after losing a six-point lead in the fourth quarter to outscore the Thunder, 12-4, in the extra session.
Felix scored four points in OT, when Drury scored six points from the foul line.
“It just never felt like we could get into a flow offensively or defensively,” Drury coach Ian Downey said. “Every time we would get a stop, it felt like we couldn’t score. Every time we scored, I felt like we could get a stop. So we were never really able to separate from them.
“Fortunately we were able to regroup in overtime and come away with a win.”
Taconic’s Jaelynn Walker scored 12 of her game-high 24 points in the fourth quarter to force OT. She was 4-for-4 at the free throw line in the quarter and 12-for-14 from the stripe in the game.
Evellyn Croce scored 11 for Taconic (4-9).
“In the fourth quarter, down eight with three minutes left to go in the game, we rallied and sent the game into overtime,” Taconic coach Jason Conuel said. “We are definitely growing and believing in each other. But we’re still learning how to win tight games where every possession matters.
“I’m proud of my girls. They played their hearts out tonight, and we’ll be looking to bring that same intensity into our next game against Monson on Monday night.”
Drury (7-7) hosts Belchertown on Thursday.
