South Hadley Girls Go Up Early in Win over Taconic

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – Cara Dean scored nine points Friday to lead a balanced effort for the South Hadley girls basketball team in a 61-32 win over Taconic.

 

Evellyn Croce scored a game-high 17 points for Taconic, which played nearly even with the Tigers in the second half after going down, 33-5, at half-time.

 

Jalana Smith scored six, and Lilyana Ferris added four in the loss.

 

Taconic (2-8) goes to Franklin Tech on Monday.
