Hot Start Lifts South Hadley Girls Past Taconic

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Kate Phillips scored six of her game-high 15 points in the first quarter as the South Hadley girls basketball team Thursday jumped out to a big early lead en route to a 52-26 win over Taconic.

 

The Tigers led, 22-2, after one quarter and never looked back in dropping the Thunder to 1-3 this winter.

 

Jaelynn Walker scored 13 points to lead Taconic, which got six from Jalisa Jessup.

 

The Thunder host Mount Greylock next Wednesday.
