Springfield ICS Girls Advance Past Taconic

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Alicia Mitchell scored 20 points Wednesday to lead the Springfield International Charter School girls basketball team to a 62-25 win over Taconic in the semi-finals of the Western Massachusetts Class C tournament.

 

Alex Hudson hit four 3-pointers and scored 16 points to lead the Thunder.

 

Brenna McNeice scored four points, and Aralyn Cross and Sophia Pringle rounded out Taconic’s scoring with three points and two points, respectively.

 

Taconic (6-13) learns Saturday who it will play in a likely berth in the Division 5 state tournament. As of the last in-season power rankings of the season, the Thunder was ranked 17th in the division.
