PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Ashley Vazquez scored 30 points Thursday to lead the Holyoke girls basketball team to a 65-63 win over Taconic.

Vazquez went to the foul line 23 times and converted 17 of her attempts, including shooting 8-for-8 at the charity stripe in the fourth quarter, when the Knights outscored Taconic, 21-20, to hold on for the win.

Ahliya Phillips scored 27 points to lead Taconic, which got 14 points from Alex Hudson and 10 from Brenna McNeice.

Taconic (9-9) learns Saturday who it will play in the upcoming Western Massachusetts regional tournament.
