Carpenter, Eagles Soar in Opener

TURNERS FALLS, Mass. -- Gwendolyn Carpenter scored 19 points to lead three Mount Everett Eagles in double figures as their team started the season with a 63-18 win over Smith Vocational on Thursday at the Franklin Tech Tournament.

 

Madeline Von Ruden scored 15, and Madison Ullrich added 12 for the Eagles (1-0).

 

Mount Everett advances to Friday’s final against Hopkins.
