Easthampton Girls Top Mount Everett

EASTHAMPTON, Mass. – Lauren Morse scored 20 points Monday to lead the Easthampton girls basketball team to a 52-38 win over Mount Everett.

 

Emma Goewey scored 12, and Maggy Sarnacki added 11 for the Eagles.

 

“The girls played well tonight despite the final score,” Mount Everett coach Joshua King said. “We still are struggling with taking care of the basketball and good teams will expose your weaknesses. We are continuing to make those mental mistakes that in the end are hurting us. 

 

“Despite those turnovers, though, the girls battled all night and got within three points in the second quarter but could never get any closer.”

 

Mount Eveertt (1-4) goes to Renaissance on Thursday.
