Towler Leads McCann Tech Past Easthampton

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Grace Towler scored 14 points Thursday to lead the McCann Tech girls basketball team to a 42-31 win over Easthampton.

 

McCann Tech coach Kathy Budaj was happy to see her team come away with a victory on a night when it didn’t play its best.

 

“It was a sloppy game,” Budaj said.: It was hard to get into a rhythm tonight for some reason. We need to keep plugging away when we are up instead of letting our guard down.”

 

McCann Tech led, 35-16, going to the fourth quarter before allowing Easthampton to rally.

 

Izzy LaCasse scored 11, and Kaylee Tatro had nine in the win.

 

McCann Tech (11-6) goes to Putnam on Friday.
