McCann Tech Edged on Road

HATFIELD, Mass. -- Victoria Smiarowski scored 11 points Monday to lead the Smith Academy girls basketball team to a 40-39 win over McCann Tech.

 

"We played a great game," McCann Tech coach Kathy Budaj said. "We had players step up and do a great job as we had many players missing. I could not have asked anything else from them."

 

Grace Towler scored 21 points to lead the Hornets, who got seven from Izzy LaCasse.

 

McCann Tech (10-6) hosts Easthampton on Thursday.
