McCann Girls Drop Close One on Road

HATFIELD, Mass.-- The Smith Academy girl basketball team on Monday used a 14-9 third quarter to break open a tie game and escape with a 36-32 win over McCann Tech.

 

Ashley Higgins scored 17 points to lead Smith to victory.

 

Aimee Dowling and Kelly Dobbert led the Hornets with 11 points and nine points, respectively.

 

McCann Tech (1-3) hosts Mount Greylock on Wednesday.
