Short-Handed McCann Tech Girls Battle in Loss to Easthampton

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Lauren Morse scored 22 points Wednesday to lead the Easthampton girls basketball team to a 44-36 win over McCann Tech.

 

The Hornets battled the Eagles hard, taking a 19-17 lead at half-time and keeping the margin in single digits in the second half one night after dropping a 60-29 decision in Easthampton.

 

“Fantastic bounce back from last night,” McCann Tech coach Kathy Budaj said. “Running with five players both nights and playing a solid team, I am so proud of the girls tonight. Last night we did not play composed. Tonight they kept their heads in the game and executed very well. Well fought battle by all.”

 

Hannah Boisvert scored 18 points, and Macey Tatro added 11 to lead the Hornets.

 

McCann Tech (5-13) learns its next opponent on Friday.
