Southwick Girls Edge McCann Tech in OT

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Southwick’s Brielle Ensign Saturday scored four of her eight points in overtime to lift the Rams to a 40-39 win over McCann Tech.

 

The visitors outscored the Hornets, 6-5, who built a 21-16 first-half lead.

 

“The girls played their hearts out and did  a great job,” McCann Tech coach Kathy Budaj said. “Fantastic effort by all considering we are running with six players, I could not ask for more.”

 

Macey Tatro scored a game-high 17 points, and Hannah Boisvert added 13 for the Hornets.

 

McCann Tech (4-11) hosts Hampden Charter on Monday.
