DALTON, Mass. - Ashley Zink scored 16 points to lead three players in double figures Monday as the Wahconah girls basketball team defeated Mahar, 52-45, in the first round of the MIAA Division 3 Western Mass tournament.
Lily Pudlo scored 14, and Emmy Cote added 11 for sixth-seeded Wahconah (14-7).
Wahconah advances to the quarterfinals on Thursday at Hampshire Regional (18-4).
